Do you remember when Trudeau wanted to create a long gun registry? Danielle Smith was at the helm of the opposition party in Alberta, and did not like federal intrusion into provincial jurisdiction. We all agree with her on that. But ... BUT ... that's where everyone always stops listening to what she actually says: She wanted to make a provincial GUN REGISTRY in Alberta instead. Her position on guns was THE SAME AS TRUDEAUS. She agrees with the NDP and Trudeau on guns and is not to be trusted. It amazes me that people think she's conservative. Here's the old article below:
Smith wants provincial registry
The mistake the province made was its stance on opposing a long-run registry while saying a handgun registry was OK, said Smith in a town hall meeting that attracted about 40 people to the Royal Canadian Legion on Thursday.
“So we want to go back and re-challenge them, and that’s challenge both aspects, and take control of the license and registry of guns at the provincial level. And we have the power to do that.”
